Seed Sharing Event Tuolumne County

It all starts with the seeds. Every February, local farmers, gardeners, and seed savers come together to share or purchase high-quality open-pollinated seeds that are adaptable to the Sierra foothill region.

The FoCuS Annual Potato Patch teaches the community how to plant, grow and harvest the simplest yet most life-sustaining of nature’s gifts.

Sustainability Education

From permaculture design to “Build Your Own Cob Oven”, FoCuS offers sustainability education opportunities. Members receive an unbelievable tool kit of knowledge for their properties and gardens.

Every seed group is part of the larger sunflower called Foothill Collaborative for Sustainability (FoCuS). Seed groups operate independently, with each group helping to educate community members toward the goal of greater self-reliance and well-being.
